"Because we play golf on an inclined plane, (a) the club shaft stays flat or parallel to its plane and, (b) the clubhead moves in an arc." Michael Hebron

Really glad to inform all you that Tony Sills will be giving the majority of short game and playing lessons for '06.  Here is Tony's Resume:

Graduate Of The University of Southern California

PGA Tour Member 1983 to 1996

Winner of the 1990 Houston Open

                             Two Time Masters Participant (1986 & 1990)

US Open Participant 5 Times (Top 15 @ Oakland Hills)

5  Time Participant in PGA Championships

Tony has worked with teachers Eddie Merrins, Jimmy Ballard, and Chuck Hogan.  For the past decade he has studied the putting stroke, set-up, and alignment of the best players in the world.  He has some really "breakthrough" methods for vision correction, proper practice, and set-up.  I am impressed everytime I see him on the putting green.

The wedge work he does is incredible!!!  I have never before seen a person that has the control of distance Tony does with wedges.  He really can control wedge distance down to a 2 or 3 yard increment.  It is not that much fun to watch playing against him, but it is all the fun in the world to do it yourself.

The really exciting thing Tony brings to Trolio golf is his experience (it sure isn't his looks) on the golf course.  He is a walking testimony the difference between play and practice on the golf course.  Having played with, against, and for many of the players we all hold on a pedistal, Tony knows as much as anyone on how the game should be played.  His contribution to a player on the golf course is very special.

We all need to remember that golf is a game with many different games.  Putting, pitching, fullswing, bunker play, etc....are all games within the game of golf.  It is impossible to balance all these games without understanding how and how much is needed for improvement.
